Fitness-for-Service (FFS) Assessment

At GWE, we provide FitnessforService (FFS) and EndofLife (EOL) assessments to evaluate the
structural integrity and ongoing usability of pressure vessels, tanks, and mechanical equipment affected
by age, degradation, or damage. Our evaluations follow internationally recognized standards including
API 579, AS/NZS guidelines, and AS 3788, ensuring accurate and reliable recommendations for
continued service, repair, rerating, or retirement.

These assessments are essential for equipment showing signs of corrosion, thinning, cracking, weld
defects, dents, or deformation. Through a combination of detailed inspections, material testing, and
advanced stress analysis, we determine the remaining service life of equipment and establish safe
operating limits under realworld conditions.

By combining engineering expertise with datadriven modelling, we help operators extend asset life,
minimize downtime, and ensure regulatory compliance, while reducing unnecessary replacement costs.
